Gary Whitlock, 48 or Rapid City, died Dec. 25, 2002 as a result ofcancer. Memorial service was held Monday at the United Methodist Churchin WessingtonSprings with burial at the Wessington Springs Cemetary. GaryRaymond Whitlock was born Aug 23, 1954 to Raymond and Lillian (Fischer)Whitlock at Wessington Springs. He grew up in Wessington Springs andattended school there. He worked as a farm laborer in Vale, welldrilling in Wessington Springs and also worked in the oil fields for atime (that wouldn't be in SD!!). He moved to Rapid City and had beenworking construction. Survivors include a brother, Cecil Whitlock ofSpearfish; one half-brother Jeff Peterson of Florida; three sisters LindaKruse of Huron, Ginger Poling of Deadwood and Barbara Doty of WessingtonSprings.
